In this lecture, I will give some basic mathematical results dealing with the resolution of parametric systems (supposed to be generically zero-dimensional).

The lecture will be cut into two parts:

• the mathematical background, and
• an example of algorithm for counting the real solutions of a system with respect to the parameters' values.
